A lot of people have misconceptions about what therapy is and is not. For me, therapy tends to be fairly structured and focused on giving you the tools you need to make real changes in your life. We will set an "agenda" at the beginning of sessions to clarify what you would most like help with that day, and then at the end of session, I will give you things to do in daily life (kind of like homework) to make sure you not only feel better in the room with me, but also are practicing skills that will improve your life outside of the therapy room.
